Kathleen Walsh’s art is timeless, deeply rooted in the human condition and shaped by a lifetime of observation, resilience, and compassion.
With no formal art training, Kathleen began drawing at the age of 11, inspired by Mad Magazine, and continued creating throughout her life. Her artistic voice was further shaped by her mentor, Robert Rauschenberg who guided her for four years and played an important role in her development as an artist.
Kathleen also brought a meaningful perspective to her work through her background in nursing.
Today, Kathleen Walsh continues her work from her gallery and studio in Cary, North Carolina, where decades of life experience and artistic exploration come together in a body of work that is both deeply personal and universally moving.
